It’s been a sad day for Diddy and his family
Former Military Head of State, Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (rtd) has predicted that PDP will win with a wide margin in the 2019 election adding that Nigeria will Atikulate instead of continuing with the Buhari Government.
His prediction is coming as some members of the PDP paid courtesy visit to him in his Minna Hilltop mansion.
He attributes his statement to the crisis in the ruling APC to the opportunity the PDP will use to take power from the APC. Recall that all is not going well as planned by the Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomole who some Governor want out because of not respecting their stand in their state chapter of the APC.
Among the Governors is Rochas Okorocha of Imo state who wants his Son-in-law to replace him as Governor come 2019, but the party NWC went for Senator Hope Uzodinma who according to report won the primaries of the party in the state.
Another Governor is Ibukunle Amosu whom anointed candidate was not chosen as the Guber flag bearer.
The same is the case with Zamfara were INEC as declared that the APC can not feed candidate because no primaries were done.
Another state having the problem is that of River state were the Minister of Transport Chibueke Amechi prefer Toye Cole to Senator Magnus Abe.
Not to forget Bayelsa were Timi Aliegbe as been said to defect from the APC to the PDP. In Kaduna, the party lost Senator Shehu Sani to another party and a host of others.
General Babangida when receiving the candidate of the PDP for the Niger East Zone B Senatorial district, Ibrahim Ishaku, assured him of his support.
He was quoted as saying: “The APC, as a political party, appears to have entangled itself into wobbling traps as if it was under a curse. All that the opposition (PDP) needed to do is to stream up more efforts on working on the electorate to have a landslide victory in next year’s election.” He went on to say: “The APC, in all three tiers of government, is still embroiled in debilitating crises that are threatening to completely bring down the party and in next year’s general elections, all that is required by PDP is to step up efforts with fervent prayers to emerge victoriously.”
